Description of Services:

 

Safety and Health Engineering

We work with clients and aid engineering and maintenance departments in designing machinery, processes, etc., to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. We can assess equipment, machinery and building structure for guarding, fall protection, and recommend strategies for compliance in design without impeding the worker. We can work with client and/or contract engineers to ensure designs and processes minimize the risk of injury or loss. We have the expertise to assist in the design of ventilation engineering.

On-site Safety Management

xCalibre Risk Services and partner affiliates can provide all the services above by providing on-site management of the safety process.  Essentially, we become the client’s outsourced safety manager on a part-time basis, either once per week or month, depending on the client’s needs.

Training

Supervisor Training- Consultants are available who are OSHA authorized Train the Trainers in the OSHA 10 and 30 Hour courses for General Industry as well as Construction.  These courses can be tailored for management and can accommodate any class size.

Employee Training - Topics could include (but not limited to): Lock-out/Tag-out, Machine Safety and Guarding, Portable/Hand Tool Safety, Haz Com, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical Safety, Ergonomics/Safe Lifting, Forklift Pedestrian safety, and Respiratory Protection. We also conduct Forklift Operator Certificate training.  All training can be conducted in SPANISH.

Transportation Safety

We offer expertise in fleet management and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act (FMCSA).  We offer full fleet compliance audits and assist our clients in abatement efforts.  We also offer safety-training programs that can be catered for our clients to fit their particular needs.

Industrial Hygiene, Indoor Air Quality & Ergonomics

We offer a wide range Industrial Hygiene services ranging from air and noise sampling to indoor air quality/mold assessments.  A Certified Industrial Hygienist works with our clients to provide a safe work environment.  
Ergonomics is another area of assistance we offer, and we are be able to provide common sense and scientific solutions to correcting workplace stressors of back injury and repetitive motion injuries.   
We work with other experts in the field to provide a “one-size-fits-all” approach through alliances with Mold Remediation experts, structural/machine design engineers, and Physical therapists.

Construction Safety

We provide consultants who have vast experience in the construction industry, Residential or Commercial.  We have the ability to implement safety programs as well as training programs for our construction clients.   We are authorized Train the Trainers by the OSHA Training Institute.

Language Services

We offer translation (written) and interpretation (verbal) services for our clients who have Hispanic workers.  We have bi-lingual consultants on staff that can speak Spanish and German.  We can work with our clients ensure that their employees receive effective training through interpretation.  We can provide interpretation services for a fee for non-loss control services, i.e. enrollment services, or we can provide translation services for those clients that need large volume documentation to be translated.  We work hand-in-hand with a free-lance translator/interpreter for non-loss control related services, or when translation is needed for safety services that exceeds our capabilities, i.e. time constraints.

Representation during Governmental Compliance visits

Upon notification of a governmental visit, a representative can be on-site to offer guidance, representation and assistance (during abatement efforts), as a result of an OSHA, DOT or EPA inspection.  We will also provide consultation and assistance during the abatement and informal conference process.
